The Woman seems to be about an apparently ordinary family that find a feral woman and keep her chained up in the garage and attempt to domesticate her in the usual, sensible way that you might try to domesticate a wild cat: with torture and sexual abuse. OK so I guess they aren’t a very normal family and from the looks of it they don’t manage to civilise her before she gets free and murders them all. It’s directed by Lucky McKee who also directed ‘Red’ – another book by Jack Ketchum, about Brian Cox and his dog. Red is a good film and I would guess that The Woman will be worth a watch based on those credentials.
It is true that we are running out of good names for films though.
